2023 Call for Papers and Posters
The ASPHO Conference Planning Committee invites the submission of abstracts for papers and posters to be presented at the 2023 ASPHO Conference, May 10-13 in Fort Worth, TX. At this time, the conference will occur in-person, and all abstract presenters will be expected to deliver their paper or poster presentation in-person live in Fort Worth, TX.
The deadline to submit an abstract is Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 3:00 pm Central Time.
The goal is to solicit the very best, original basic, clinical, and social science abstracts that relate to the field of pediatric hematology/oncology. Any individual abstract may be part of an on-going project. Abstracts previously presented may be submitted to the ASPHO. However, these abstracts must be updated or modified in some way.
Material that has been or is expected to be published in manuscript form before the dates of the ASPHO Conference is not acceptable for presentation in either poster or paper formats.
- All communication will go to the Submitter.
- Abstracts are limited to 400 words. Tables and charts will not be accepted.

Conference Registration Guidelines for Presenters:
Paper and poster abstracts will be presented at various times throughout the Conference on Wednesday, May 10 through Saturday, May 13. Presentation times will be assigned at the time the abstract is accepted; authors cannot request a specific presentation date/time. Prior to submission of the abstract, at least one author must agree to attend the ASPHO conference and to participate live in-person as the paper or poster presenter. Presenters are responsible for all personal expenses (e.g., travel, hotel) and for conference registration fees. ASPHO will not waive the registration fee for presenters.
Late Breaking Abstracts
ASPHO does not have a separate call for late breaking abstracts. All submissions must be received by the January 12, 2023, deadline.
The system will remain open from November 3, 2022, to January 12, 2023. The system will close at 3:00 pm Central Time (4:00 pm Eastern Time; 2:00 pm Mountain Time; 1:00 pm Pacific Time) on Thursday, January 12, 2023, and additional submissions will not be accepted.
Note: The system may be slower on January 11 and 12 due to the higher volume of submissions. ASPHO is not responsible for abstracts that are not submitted by the deadline due to a slower system.
There will be a $25.00 USD fee per abstract to be paid by credit card. The fee will be collected at the end of the submission process, before the abstract can be submitted. Payment must be done online within the system during the time of submission (payment will not be taken in any other form such as by phone or check). NOTE: Your submission will not be considered 'complete' until the payment is processed and the abstract is submitted, so please take this step into consideration when you submit your proposal.
Submitters will be notified by March 2023 regarding selection of their abstract.
