Palliative Care Special Interest Group
The mission of the Palliative Care Special Interest Group (SIG) is to accelerate the availability of high-quality palliative care to pediatric oncology patients across the country. Specific objectives to this mission include collaboration for program building; sharing of resources regarding pathways, policies, and procedures; education of faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students; and establishing research priorities and networks. In addition, the group plans to pool resources with other pediatric palliative groups (i.e., AAP SIG, AAHPM SIG) to most efficiently achieve shared objectives.
