What are the dates and times of the 2021 ASPHO Conference?
The 2021 ASPHO Conference will take place April 20-23, 2021. All sessions take place in CDT (Central Daylight Time), so please be sure to convert the time based on your location whenever necessary. For a full listing of specific session dates and times, visit the Full Schedule.
Why is the 2021 ASPHO Conference taking place in a virtual format?
Due to COVID-19 and current rules and regulations, we are unable to hold the conference in person. The safety and health of attendees and exhibitors are our utmost priority.
When will registration be open?
Registration is currently open and will remain open during the conference for those that would like to register day of.
What's included in my registration?
Your registration includes access to the full conference program (including educational sessions* and engagement activities) on April 21-23, 2021, on-demand access to all educational sessions for up to 90 days following the live event, and complimentary registration to ASPHO's Summer Symposium on July 27, 2021. *some educational sessions and events require advanced registration and an additional fee
How long will the on-demand content be available for?
The on-demand content will be available until July 23, 2021 following the live event.
Will there be specific hours for the virtual exhibit hall?
Virtual exhibits will be available for access 24/7, but attendees can connect in real-time with sponsors as indicated by the times on the Full Schedule.
When is Member Services available during the conference if I need help?
Member Services is available during the following times:
- Tuesday, April 20: 12 pm-5:30 pm CDT
- Wednesday, April 21: 7:30 am-6:30 pm CDT
- Thursday, April 22: 7:30 am-5:30 pm CDT
- Friday, April 23: 7:30 am-4:00 pm CDT
How many CE hours are available?
Attendees can receive a maximum of 37 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 10 MOC Part 2 points. More information regarding CE can be found on our Continuing Education page.
How do I complete a conference evaluation?
Log into your My Library with your ASPHO username and password. Click on the graduation cap next to '2021 ASPHO Conference'.
I logged into a session early and I can’t see the video or chat once the session started. What should I do?
When you enter a session you will be placed into a waiting room. If you still cannot access the session after the published start time, try refreshing your page. If you are still having trouble, click on the blue chat box icon in the lower right-hand corner of your page to reach tech support.
Where can I see a listing of all sessions?
The entire listing of sessions can be found on our Full Schedule. During the conference, attendees can access the 'Schedule' page within the conference platform to find a full listing of conference sessions. Attendees can use the search function to search by speaker and session name to locate specific sessions. A calendar view of all sessions is available on the 'Calendar' page.
If I miss a session, can I view it after the live event?
Yes, all sessions will be available on-demand for 90 days following the live event. Sessions will be made available approximately 24-48 hours after the live airing.
How do I access the 2021 ASPHO Conference?
Conference attendees will receive an email from ASPHO in advance of the conference with information on accessing the platform and a link to the platform itself. Attendees are encouraged to access the platform early and follow the walkthrough tutorials to get acquainted with the platform prior to the live event.
What is my login information for the platform?
What is the best way to access the conference? Am I able to use my phone?
ASPHO recommends using a laptop or computer. The conference virtual platform is fully responsive on all mobile devices, Android and IOS systems, and replaces the need for a mobile app.
What browser should I access the conference on?
Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Microsoft Edge is not supported.
How early should I log on to a session?
Attendees are encouraged to log in 10-15 minutes before a session to test internet stability and login credentials. Sessions will not be accessible to enter until their published start time.
Can I add sessions to my outlook calendar?
A link to the schedule calendar view can be found on the left-hand navigation panel under ‘Calendar’. Select the session and click on the button "Add to Calendar" which will respect local time zone setting of your computer. You will also receive a 15 minute reminder.
To add a session to your platform calendar, click the “Add” button.
Can I switch between concurrent sessions?
Yes, attendees can leave a session at any time and join another by returning to the 'Schedule' in the platform.
How do I get help when I'm in the conference platform?
Attendees will find a blue chat box icon in the lower right-hand corner of the conference platform. Attendees can select the icon to submit any questions to tech support during the conference.
How can I see who is also attending the conference?
All registrants are listed in the 'Attendees' directory within the conference platform. Participants currently online have a green dot on their profile.
Will I be able to network with fellow conference attendees?
There are several ways to network within the virtual platform, for example:
- Community - Question & Answer section
- Ask industry-related questions to your peers.
- Open Roundtables
- Join roundtable discussions with your peers at any time (video chat with up to 15 other participants)
- Connecting and direct-messaging with other participants listed on the Attendees directory
- Posting on the newsfeed
- Participating in the live chat with Poster Presenters
What opportunities for Q&A are available during the conference?
Attendees can connect with speakers during presentations using the Q&A function within Zoom during the sessions. In addition, each concurrent session will be holding a genius bar in a virtual meeting room where you can continue the conversation by bringing your questions and any cases you’d like to discuss. The speakers will help answer questions and guide the discussion.
What are the different engagement activities available this year?
Attendees can network with fellow attendees at activities including:
- Daily coffee chats
- Topic-based roundtable discussions
- Diversity Dialogue
- Art Therapy Workshop
- Trivia & Networking Reception
- An hour of magic and comedy
- 24/7 access to on-demand yoga and meditation videos and other wellness activities
Can I win prizes for engagement during the conference?
The most engaged attendees have the opportunity to win prizes such as an Apple Watch, Amazon, Target, and Pet Smart gift cards and a Pittsburgh-themed gift basket. Attendees can visit the 'Leaderboard' within the platform to view their engagement score and browse opportunities for engagement points.
